RESOLUTION NO. 4614
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
HONORING JOHN D. PARKHURST, CHIEF ENGINEER AND GENERAL
MANAGER FOR THE COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS OF LOS
ANGELES COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon wishes to congratulate John D.
Parkhurst upon the completion of thirty-one years of distinguished service
in Los Angeles County; and
WHERE AS, Mr. Parkhurst is now serving as Chief Engineer
and General Manager for the County Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles
County and, as such, has rendered great service to the City of Vernon;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
~ECTI2N_!: The City Council on behalf of the City of Vernon
hereby congratulates John D. Parkhurst and expresses its gratitude and
appreciation to John D. Parkhurst for his service and cooperation with
the City of Vernon.
SEC TION 2:
That the City Council extends to John D. Park-
hurst its heart-felt thanks and best wishes for his continued success.
SECTION 3:
That a certified copy of this resolution be
presented to John D. Parkhurst for his many years of dedicated service
as a public official.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
