A RESOLUTION OF THE eITY eOUNeIL OF THE eITY
or VERNON APPROVING eONTRAeT NO. 427 AND AUTHOR-
IZING NOTIeE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS
FO~ TRAFrIe PAVEMENT $T~rPING 1979, IN AeeORDANeE
WITH eONTRAeT NO. 427 OF THE eITY OF VERNON
WllEREAS, there has been presented to the eity eouncil
of the eity of Vernon eontract No. 427 for Traffic Pavement
Striping 19]9; and,
WHEREAS, th.e eity eouncil of the eitv o-F'rA.....,.,"'.... h_",
determined that it is in the best interests of the eity of Vernon
that said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable
State law.
NOW, TaEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TaE eITY eOUNeIL OF
THE eITY or VERNON AS FOLLOWS;
SE:eTION 1; eontract No. 427 is hereby approved by the
Ci ty eOt:J,ncil of th.e eity of Vernon.
$EeTION 2; The eity elerk of the eity of Vernon is
hereby qirected to file in his office at the eity Hall of the
eity of Vernon a copy of said eontract No. 427.
SEeTION 3: The eity elerk of the eity of Vernon is
hereby directed to give notice, in writing, invitipg sealed
proposals or bids for Traffic Pavement Striping 1979, in
accordance wit.h eontract No. 427 and in accordance with this
Resolution.
SEeTION 4: There being no newSpaper or general circula-
tion printed, published or circulated in the eity of Vernon, the
eity elerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause
the same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the
City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest corner of 38th Street
1 and Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
2 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
3 eity Hall of the City .of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
4 in said eity.

5.EeTION 5; The eity elerk of the City of Vernon is
6 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
7 posting of said notice shall not be less then ten (10) days
8 before the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said
9 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
10 received by the eity of Vernon at the office of the eity elerk
11 of the eity, at the eity Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
12 ealifornia 90Q58, until th,e hour of 2: 00 p.m., on the 16th day
13 of January, 1979, and in accordance with eontract No. 427
14 approved by said eity.

SEeTION 6: The eity Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
16 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
17 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
18 APl?ROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of January, 1979.
