A RESOLUTION OF THE eITY eOUNeIL OF THE eITY
OF VERNON AeeEPTING THE WORK FOR TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INSTALLATION, IN AeeORDANeE WTTH
eONTRAeT NO. 418 OF THE eITY OF VE'RNON

WHEREAS, STEINY AND COMPANY, INe., was awarded the

eontract for traffic signal installation at Santa Fe Avenue and
7
38th Street, Jewel Avenue and 37th Street, Soto Street and
8
Bandini Boulevard-37th Street, Leonis Boulevard and Alcoa
9
Avenue, purpuant to Contract No. 418 of the eity of Vernon; and,
10
WHEREAS, Arthur E.Nelson, J;r., Director of Public
11
Wor~~tBuilding, h~~ reported to the eity eouncil of the eity of
12
Vernon th~t ~~tq work has been completed, under date of
13
December 21, 1978, anq reconunends t.hat the work be accepted and
14
payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agree-
15

NOW, THERE,FOREr BE IT RESOLVED By THE eITY eOUNeIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

S:E;CTIQN 1,: That the work on the traffic signal
19
installation at Santa Fe Avenue anq 38th Street, Jewel Avenue
20
and 37tl1 Street, Soto Street and Bandini Boulevard-37th Street,
21
Leonis Boulevard and ALcoa Avenue, pursuant to Contract 418 is
22
hereby approved by the eity of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Thirty-One
23
24 Thousand Four Hundred Dollars and No eents ($31,400.001. That
25
there is now due to the eontractor a final partial payment
totaling One Thou~and Three Hundred Twenty-Seven Dollars and
26

Fi,fty Cents ($1,327.50), which should be paid at this time and
28
the remaining ten percent (10% 1 of the total eontract amount or
..
1 the sum of Three Thousand One Hundred Forty Dollars and No eents
2 ($3,140.00) is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption
3 of this Resolution and the ei ty eouncil of the ei ty of Vernon
4 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to STEINY AND
5 eOMPANY, INe. and instructs the eity elerk to file a Notice of
6 eompletion with the eounty Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the eity elerk of the eity of Vernon
8 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
9 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
10 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of January, 1979.
