1 RESOLUTION NO. 4620
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE eITY eOUNeIL OF THE eITY
OF VERNON AeeEPTING THE WORK FOR RESURFACING
3 OF DOWNEY ROAD AND BANDINI BOULEVARD, IN
AeeORDANeE WITH eONTRAeT NO. 423 OF THE eITY .
4 OF VERNON
5 WHEREAS, VERNON PAVING eOMPANY, was awarded the Contract
6 for the resurfacing of Downey Road and Bandini Boulevard, pursuant
7 to eontract No. 423 of the eity of Vernon; and,
8 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public
9 Works/Building, has reported to the eity eouncil of the City of
10 Vernon that said work has been completed, under date of January 8,
11 1979, and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made
12 to the eontractor in accordance with the Agreement.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY eOUNeIL OF
14 THE eITY OF V~RNON AS FOLLOW$:

SECTION 1: That the resurfacing of Downey Road and
16 Bandini Boulevard, pur~;uant to eontract No. 423 is hereby approved
17 by the City of Vernon.

SEeTION 2: That the total contract amount is Thirty-
19 Three Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars and Eighty eents
20 ($33,722.80). That there is now due to the contractor a final
21 partial payment totaling One Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars and
22 No eents ($1,800.00), which should be paid at this time and the
23 remaining ten percent (10%) of the total eontract amount or the
24 sum o.f Three Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars and
25 Twenty-Eight Cents ($3,372.28) is payable thirty-five (35) days
26 after the ado~tion of this Resolution and the eity eouncil of
27 the eity of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set
28 forth to VE~NON PAVING eOMPANY and instructs the eity elerk to

1 file a Notice of Completion with the eounty Recorder.

SEeTION 3: That the eity elerk of the City of Vernon
3 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
4 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
5 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of January, 1979.
