RESOLUTION NO. 4623
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF TRAFFIC ENGINEERING,
INC. FOR TRAFFIC PAVEMENT STRIPING - 1979, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 427 OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID
CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Contract No. 427 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
Resolution No. 4615, and sealed bids were opened on January 16,
1979; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Arthur E. Nelson, Jr.
Director of Public WorkslBuilding, who has reported to the City
Council under the date of January. 17, 1979, recommending that the
contract for traffic pavement striping - 1979 ,be executed with
Traffic Engineering, Inc. on the basis of their bid in the sum
of Sixteen Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifty-Six Dollars and Ninety-
Three Cents ($16,956.93},being the lowest bid meeting the
cOntract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award Contract No. 427, in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public workslBuilding
and authorizes the Mayor to execute said contract on behalf of
the City.
SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to .return to unsuccessful bidders
any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
the receipt of an executed contract from Traffic Engineering, Inc.

1 accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
3 certify to the passage of this Resolution thereupon and thereafter
4 the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of February, 1979.
