A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK ON THE INSTALLATION
OF A WATER METER AND PRESSURE REGULATING
FACILITY AT FRUITLAND AVENUE AT DOWNEY ROAD, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 421 OF THE CITY
OF VERNON

6 WHEREAS, TENNYSON PIPELINE COMPANY, was awarded the
7 Contract for work on the installation of a water meter and
8 pressure regulating facility at Fruitland Avenue at Downey Road,
9 pursuant to Contract No. 421 of the City of Vernon; and,
10 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public
11 WorkslBuilding, has reported to the City Council of the City of
12 Vernon that said work has been completed, under date of
13 February 5, 1979, and recommends that the work be accepted and
14 payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agree-
15 mente
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
17 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work on the installation of a
19 water meter and pressure regulating facility at Fruitland Avenue
20 at Downey Road, pursuant to Contract No. 421 is hereby approved
21 by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Thirty-Nine
23 Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-Five Dollars and Twenty-Seven Cents
24 l$39,535.27}. That the Contractor has been paid a final partial
25 payment of Thirty-Five Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-One Dollars
26 and Seventy-Four Cents ($35,581.74) and the remaining ten percent
27 (10%) of the total Contract amount or the sum of Three Thousand
28 Nine Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars and Fifty-Three Cents ($3,953.53)
1 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this
2 Resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
3 directs payment of said sums as set forth to TENNYSON PIPELINE
4 COMPANY and instructs the City Clerk to file a Notice of
5 Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
7
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
8
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of February, 1979.
