2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCE~TING THE WORK ON THE TRAFFIC
3 SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT SOTO STREET AND 26TH
STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 424
4 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
5 WHEREAS, SIGNAL MAINTENANCE INC., was awarded the
6 Contract for work on the traffic signal installation at Soto
7 Street and 26th Street, pursuant to Contract No. 424 of the City
8 of Vernon; and,
9 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelsqn, Jr., pirector of Public
10 Works/Building, has reported to the city Council of the City of
11 Vernon that said work has been completed, under date of
12 February 16, 1979, and recommends that the work be accepted and
13 payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY Of VERNON AS fOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the work on the traffic signal installa-

17 tion at Soto Street and 26th Street, pursuant to Contract No. 424
18 is hereby approve? by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2; That the total contract amount is Twelve
20 Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Seven Dollars and Sixty-Seven Cents
21 {$12,567.671. That there is now due to the Contractor a final
22 partial payment totaling Eleven Thousand Three Hundred Ten Dollars
23 and Ninety Cents ($11,310.90), which should be paid at this time
24 and the remaining ten percent (10%1 of the total Contract amount
25 or th~ sum of One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-Six Dollars and
26 Seventy...Seven Cents ($1,256.77} is payable thirty-five (35) days
27 after the adoption of this Resolution and the City Council of the
28 City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth
1 to SIGNAL MAINTENANCE INC. and instructs the City Clerk to ~~le
2 a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
4 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
5 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADO~TED this 20th day of February, 1979.
