1 RESOLUTION NO. 4634
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COMMENDING BOB G. BYARS FOR HIS
3 MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
4 WHEREAS, BOB G. BYARS has been employed by the City
5 of Vernon since March 16, 1954; and,
6 WHEREAS, said BOB G. BYARS will retire from the service
7 of the City of Vernon on March 16, 1979; and,
8 WHEREAS, BOB G. BYARS has faithfully served as an
9 employee since March 16, 1954 and has served as a Captain
10 in the Fire Department of the City of Vernon since April 1, 1969,
11 and his loss will be deeply felt by. the City of Vernon.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF

13 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Council of the City of
15 Vernon takes this opportunity to commend BOB G. BYARS for his
16 many years of devoted service to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 wishes BOB G. BYARS continued success in whatever endeavors he
19 may undertake.
20
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
21 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
22 certified coPy thereof to MR. BOB G. BYARS, and that thereupon
23 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
24 APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 6th day of March, 1979.
