. RESOLUTION NO. 4637
2 A RESOLUTION OF 1HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON COMMENDING LON S. HERMAN FOR HIS MANY
3 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OFVERNON
4 WHEREAS, LON S. HERMAN has been employed by the City of
5 Vernon since August 20, 1957; and,
6 WHEREAS, LON S. HERMAN will retire from the service of the
7 City of Vernon on May 2, 1979; and,
8 WHEREAS, LON S. HERMAN has faithfully served as an employee
9 Since August 20, 1957 as a Utility Accountant in the Light and Power Depart-
10 ment of the City of Vernon, giving unstintingly of his time, to oversee and
11 correct accounting procedures,' thereby saving the City thousands of dollars
12 over said period of time, and his loss will be deeply felt by the City of
13 Vernon;
14 NOW, THERE FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCfi.J
15 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SEC TION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon takes
17 this opportunity to commend LON S. HERMAN for his many years of devoted
18 service to the City of Vernon.

SEC TION 2:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon wishes
20 LON S. HERMAN continued success in whatever endeavors he may undertake
21
SEC TION 3:
That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
22
certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a certified copy thereof
to MR. LON S. HERMAN, and that thereupon and thereafter the sa~ shall
be in full force and effect.
