A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF CAL-PACIFIC
REFRIGERATION, INC. FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF
THE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONER-COMPRESSOR, CITY
HALL, AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF A
CONTRACT

7 WHEREAS, FRANK MURILLO, the Purchasing Agent, under the
8 date of March 27, 1979, requested the authority to solicit bids
9 for the replacement of the No.2 Air Conditioner-Compressor, City
10 Hall, with a bid opening date of May 1, 1979; and,
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon in its
12 regular meeting of April 5, 1979 granted the Purchasing Agent the
13 authority to solicit bids for the No. 2 Air Conditioner-Compressor
14 City Hall; and,
15 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Frank Murillo,
16 Purchasing Agent, who has reported to the City Council under the
17 date of June 5, 1979, recommending that the contract for the re-
18 placement of the No.2 Air Conditioner-Compressor, City Hall, be
19 executed with Cal-Pacific Refrigeration, Inc. on the basis of
20 their bid in the sum of 'l'nreeThousand Nine ..Hundred Ninety Dollars
21 angNinety-Six Cents {$3,990.96} being the lowest bid meeting the
22 contract requiltements; and,
23 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
24 deter.mined that it is in th.e best interests of the City of Vernon
25 to approve the execution of said contract.
26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
27 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
1 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained herein-
2 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That in accordance with the recommendation of
4 Frank Murillo, Purchasing Agent, the City Council of the City of
5 Vernon does hereby award the contract for the replacement of the
6 No. 2 Air Conditioner-Compressor, City Hall and authorizes the
7 Mayor to execute a contract on behalf of the City.

SECTION 3: All other bids are rejected and the City
9 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
10 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon the
11 receipt of an executed contract from Cal-Pacific Refrigeration,
12 Inc. accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
14 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the City
15 of Vernon a copy of said contract.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
17
certify to the passage of this Resolution thereupon and thereafter
18
the same shall be in full force and effect.
