2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON COMMENDING ARTIE E. CHRISMAN FOR HIS MANY
3 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
4 WHEREAS, ARTIE E. CHRISMAN has been employed by the City
5 of Vernon since March 18, 1948; and,
6 WHEREAS, said ARTIE E. CHRISMAN has retired from the
7 service of the City of Vernon onJ'tlneL5,1. 1979;and~,
8 WHEREAS, ARTIE E. CHRISMAN has faithfully served as an
9 employee of the Police Department of the City of Vernon fOE
10 approximately 'thirty-enec (31}years.~ai1d~ha.sserved.as>a Capta.in
11 since November 1, 1972, and his loss will be deeply felt by the
12 City of Vernon.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 takes this opportunity to commend ARTIE E. CHRISMAN for his many
17 years of devoted service to the City of Vernon.
18
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 wishes ARTIE E. CHRISMAN continued success in whatever endeavors
20 he may undertake.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
22
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
23
certified copy thereof to MR. ARTIE E.CHRISMAN, and that there-
24
upon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
