A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF EXECUTIVE
SUITE SERVICES, INC. FOR SUPPLYING CITY HALL
JANITORIAL SERVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 002 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND
APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT

WHEREAS, Contract No. 002 of the City of Vernon was

approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
9
Resolution No. 4645, and sealed bids were opened on Jtme5, 1979;
10

and,
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Frank Murillo,
12
Purchasing Agent of the Purchasing Department, who has reported
13
to the City Council under the date of June 14, 1979, recommending
14
that the contract for supplying City Hall janitorial services be
15
executed with Executive Suite Services, Inc. on the basis of
16
17
their bid in the sum of Eighteen Thousand Eight Hundred Forty
Dollars and No/IOO ($18,840.00) per year for the cleaning of the
City Hall, Twenty-TWo Cents ($0.22) per square yard.f6rCity Hall

carpet shampooing services, and Nine Dollars and Fifty Cents
20
($9.50) per month for the cleaning of the City Council Chambers,
21
being the lowest bid meeting the contract requirements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
23
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
25

hereby award Contract No. 002, in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of Frank Murillo, Purchasing Agent of the Purchasing Depart-
27
ment, to Executive Suite Services, Inc. and hereby authorizes the
28
Mayor to execute said Contract on behalf of the City.

SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
2 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
3 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
4 the receipt of an executed contract from Executive Suite Services,
5 Inc. accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
7
certify to the passage of this Re.solution thereupon and there-
8
after the same shall be in full force and effect.

ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 19th day of June, 1979.
