A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A QUANTITY
I POWER IMPACTOR-HYDRAULIC HAMMER, ALLIED MODEL
33 HY-RAM FOR THE STREET AND WATER DEPARTMENT
AND AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF

6 WHEREAS, FRANK MURILLO, Purchasing Agent, has recommended
7 to the City Council of the City of Vernon that the Street and
8 Water Department needs a Quantity I Power Impactor-Hydraulic
9 Hammer, Allied Model 33 Hy-Ram; and,
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
11 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
12 to purchase the said Quantity I Power Impactor-Hydraulic Hammer,
13 Allied Model 33 Hy-Ram.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
15 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained herein-
18 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the purchase of the Quantity I Power
20 Impactor-Hydraulic Hammer, Allied Model 33 Hy-Ram is hereby
21 approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
23 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed pro-
24 posals or bids for the purchase of a Quantity I Power Impactor-
25 Hydraulic Hammer, Allied Model 33 Hy-Ram for the Street and Water
26 Department in accordance with this Resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
28 tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
1 City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause it
2 to be posted, in three of the most public places in the City of
3 Vernon, to wit: the Northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe
4 Avenue, the Northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific
5 Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall
6 of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said
7 City.

SECTION 5: City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
9 directed to post said notice forthwith and the first posting
10 of said notice shall not. be less than ten (10) days before the
11 opening of the bids for the proposed purchase. Said notice shall
12 provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by the
13 City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk of the City, at
14 the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, CA 90058, until the
15 hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 17th day of July, 1979 in accordance
16 with this Resolution.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
18 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
19 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
20 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of July, 1979.
