A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK ON TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT PACIFIC BOULEVARD AND
LEONIS BOULEVARD, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 425 OF THE CITY OF VERNON

6 WHEREAS, SIGNAL MAINTENANCE, INC., was awarded the
7 Contract for work on traffic signal installation at Pacific
8 Boulevard and Leonis Boulevard, pursuant to Contract No. 425
9 of the City of Vernoniand,
10 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public
11 WorkS/Building, has reported to the City Council of the City of
12 Vernon that said work has been completed, under date of July 11,
13 1979, and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be
14 made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
16 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work on traffic signal installation
18 at Pacific Boulevard and Leonis Boulevard, pursuant to Contract
19 No. 425 is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Fifteen
21 Thousand Six Hundred Fifteen Dollars and No Cents ($15,615.00).
22 That there is now due to the Contractor a final partial payment
23 totaling Fourteen Thousand Fifty-Three Dollars and Fifty Cents
24 ($14,053.501, which should be paid at this time and the remaining
25 te.n percent (10%1 of the total Contract amount or the sum of
26 One Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-One Dollars and Fifty Cents
27 C$1,561.501 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption
28 of this Resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon
. ,
1 hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to SlGNAL
2 MAINTENANCE, INC. and instructs the City Clerk to file a Notice
3 of Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
5 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
6 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
7 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of July, 1979.
