A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COMMENDING SPENCER E. HOGAN FOR HIS
MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON

6 WHEREAS, SPENCER E. HOGAN has been employed by the City
7 of Vernon since January 4, 1951; and,
8 WHEREAS, said SPENCER E. HOGAN will retire from the
9 service of the City of Vernon on October 1, 1979; and,
10 WHEREAS, SPENCER E. HOGAN has faithfully served as an
11 employee since January 4, 1951 in the capacity of a police officer
12 and has served as the Chief of Police since October 1, 1974,
13 and his loss will be deeply felt by the City of Vernon.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 takes this opportunity to commend SPENCER E. HOGAN for his many
18 years of devoted service to the City of Vernon.
19
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
20 wishes SPENCER E. HOGAN continued success in whatever 'endeavors he
21 may undertake.
22
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
23 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
24 certified copy thereof to MR. SPENCER E. HOGAN, and that thereupon
25 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
