A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AWARDING THE PURCHASE CONTRACT FOR
MODEL 4620 ELECTRONIC CASH REGISTER TO SWEDA
INTERNATIONAL AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF
SAID CONTRACT

7 WHEREAS, the purchase of a Model 4620 Electronic Cash
8 Register was approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon,
9 and sealed bids were opened on September 4, 1979; and,
10 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to the purchasing agent
11 who has reported to the City Council recommending that the
12 Purchase Contract for the purchase of a Model 4620 Electronic
13 Cash Register be\executed with Sweda International at a price of
14 Four Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars and Twenty-Four
15 Cents ($4,668.24), tax included, said electronic cash register
16 and the price therefor being the best available to satisfy the
17 needs of the City of Vernon.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
19 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
21 hereby award the Purchase Contract for Model 4620 Electronic Cash
22 Register, in accordance with the recommendation of the purchasing
23 agent, to Sweda International and authorize the Mayor to execute
24 said purchasing Contract on behalf of the City.

SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
26 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
27 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
28 the receipt of an executed contract from Sweda International.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this Resolution thereupon and thereafter
3
the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of September, 1979.
