RESOLUTION NO. 4673
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF SLURRY SEALING
ON 44TH AND 46TH STREET, FROM SOTO STREET TO
ALCOA AVENUE AND FROM SOTO STREET TO BOYLE
AVENUE RESPECTIVELY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 431 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, ROY ALLEN, Slurry Seal Contractor, was awarded
the Contract for work on the slurry sealing of 44th and 46th
Street, from Soto Street to Alcoa Avenue and from Soto Street to
Boyle Avenue respectively, pursuant to .Contract No. 431 of the
City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., Director of Public
Works/Building, has reported to the City Council of the City of
Vernon that said work has been completed, under date of
September 6, 1979, and recommends that the work be accepted and
payment be made to the Contractor in accordance with the. Agreement
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT),RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the work on the slurry sealing on 44th
and 46th Street, from Soto Street to Alcoa Avenue and from Soto
Street to Boyle Avenue respectively, pursuant to Contract No. 431
is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Eight
Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Six Dollars and Forty Cents
($8,826.40). That there is now due to the Contractor a final
partial payment totaling Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-Three
Dollars and Seventy-Six Cents ($7,943.76), which should be paid
at this time and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total
.".
1 Contract amount or the sum of Eight Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars
2 and Sixty-Four Cents ($882.64) is payable thirty-five (35) days
3 after the adoption of this Resolution and the City Council of the
4 City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth
5 to RON ALLEN, Slurry Seal Contractor, and instructs the City
6 Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
8
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
9
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of September, 1979.

Gentlemen:
The work for slurry sealing 44th and 46th Streett
from Soto Street to Alcoa Avenue and Soto Street to Boyle
Avenue has been completed.
The total contract amount is $8,826.40. Final partial
payment totaling$7t943.76 is due now. The remaining ten
percent, $882.64 is payable thirty five days after accept-
ance.
