A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE REPLACEMENT OF THE
HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM AT FIRE STATION
#3 LOCATED AT 2800 SOTO STREET IN THE CITY
OF VERNON AND AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE
THEREOF

8 WHEREAS, GEORGE F. BASS, Fire Chief, has recommended
9 to the City Council of the City of Vernon that the heating and
10 cooling system at fire station #3 located at 2800 Soto Street,
11 Vernon, California needs to be replaced; and,
12 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
13 determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Vernon
14 to replace the heating and cooling system at fire station #3
15 located at 2800 Soto Street, Vernon, California.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
17 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained herein-
20 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the replacement of the heating and
22 cooling system at fire station #3 located at 2800 Soto Street,
23 Vernon, California is hereby approved by the City Council of the
24 City of Vernon.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
26 is hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
27 proposals or bids for the purchase of a heating and cooling system
28 at fire station #3 located at 2800 Soto Street, Vernon, California

1 in accordance with this Resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
3 tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
4 City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause it
5 to be posted, in three of the most public places in the City of
6 Vernon, to wit: the Northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe
7 Avenue, the Northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific
8 Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall
9 of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in said
10 City.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
12 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
13 posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days before
14 the opening of the bids for the proposed purchase. Said notice
15 shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be received by
16 the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk of the City,
17 at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, CA
90058, until
18 the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 6th day of November, 1979 in
19 accordance with this Resolution.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
21 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
22 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
23 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of October, 1979.
