A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF CAL PACIFIC
REFRIGERATION, INC. FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF
THE HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM AT FIRE STATION
#3 LOCATED AT 2800 SOTO STREET IN THE CITY OF
VERNON IN ACCORDANCE WITH PURCHASE SPECIFICATION
NO. 004 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND APPROVING
THE EXECUTION OF SAID PURCHASE SPECIFICATION

WHEREAS, the replacement of the heating and cooling system
9
at Fire Station #3 locaued at 2800 Soto Street in the City of
10
Vernon was approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon,

November 6, 1979; and

WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Frank Murillo,

Purchasing Agent, who has reported to the City Council recommending
15
that Purchase Specification No. 004 for the replace.mel'lt~of~.the
16
heating and cooling system at Fire Station #3 located at 2800 Soto
17
Street in the City of Vernon be executed with Cal Pacific
18
Refrigeration, Inc. on the basis of their bid in the sum of
19
Four Thousand Four Hundred and One Dollars and Twenty Cents
20
($4,40l.20) for the dormitory area and the sum of Five Thousand
21
Two Hundred Nine Dollars and Forty-Eight Cents ($5,209.48) for
22
the office area for a total bid of Nine Thousand Six Hundred Ten
23
Dollars and Sixty-Eight Cents ($9,610.68), being the lowest
24
responsible bid meeting the purchase specification requirements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
28
hereby award Purchase Specification No. 004, in accordance with

1 the recommendation of Frank Murillo, Purchasing Agent, and
2 authorizes the Mayor to execute said purchase specification agree-
3 menton behalf of'the City.

SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
5 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
6 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
7 the receipt of an executed purchase specification agreement from
8 Cal Pacific Refrigeration, Inc., accompanied by all required
9 bonds and certificates.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
II certify to the passage of this Resolution thereupon and thereafter
12 the same shall be in full force and effect.

ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of December, 1979.
