CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROVING "LOT LINE ADJUSTMENT" REQUESTED BY OWENS-ILLINOIS, INC., FOREST PRODUCTS DIVISION AND LOS ANGELES JUNCTION JUNCTION RAILWAY CO. 4 5 6 WHEREAS, Owens-Illinois, Inc., Forest Products Division, 7 is the owner of a parcel described in the attached Exhibit "A" 8 and incorporated herein by this reference; and, 9 WHEREAS, Los Angeles Junction Railway Co. is the owner 10 of the adjoining property, described in the attached Exhibit "B", II and incorporated herein by this reference; and, 12 WHEREAS, said owners have agreed to adjust the common 13 boundary between their properties as described in the attached 14 Exhibit "C", and incorporated herein by this reference; and, 15 WHEREAS, said Los Angeles Junction Railway Co. has agreed 16 to deed to said Owens-Illinois, Inc., Forest Products Division, 17 a portion of their property (1.562 acres) on the westerly 18 side of said Line so that said described Line will be the boundary 19 line between their said properties; and, 20 WHEREAS, said owners have applied for a "Lot Line Adjust- 21 ment" pursuant to ~664l2 (d) of the Subdivision Map Act; and, 22 WHEREAS, ~66412(d) of said Act provides as follows: 23 "this division shall be applicable to: 24 (d) A lot line adjustment between two or more 25 adjacent parcels, where the land taken from 26 one parcel is added to an adjacent parcel, and 27 where a greater number of parcel than originally 28 existed is not thereby created, provided the 1 lot line adjustment is approved by Resqlution 2 of the local agency". 3 and, 4 WHEREAS, said "Lot Line Adjustment" was referred to 5 Arth~r E. Nelson, ~r., Director of Public Works/Building, who 6 has reported to the City Council under the date of January 8, 7 1980, recommending: said "L6:t:::f.iheAdjustmentH be ,apprqved:. 8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 9 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS: 10 SECTION I: That the City Council of the city of Vernon 11 does hereby determine that the recitals contained hereinabove are 12 hereby found and determined to be true and factual. 13 SECTION 2: The application filed by Los Angeles Junction 14 Railway Company by letter dated December 26, 1979, for a "Lot Line 15 Adjustment" for the property described in the attached Exhibits 16 "A" and "B" with said "Lot Line Adjustment" being described in 17 the attached Exhibit "C" is hereby approved in accordance with 18 the recommendation of Arthur E.
