RESOLUTION NO. 4702

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING
PRECINCT AND POLLING PLACE, APPOINTING PRECINCT
BOARD MEMBERS AND FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF SAID CITY ON
TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 1980

WHEREAS, a general municipal election to be held on

Tuesday, April 8, 1980, has been heretofore called by Resolution
8
No.. 4690, as amended by Resolution No. 4700 adopted on February 5,
9
1980.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
11
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That for the purpose of holding said regular
13
general municipal election, there shall be and are hereby
14
established one (1) voting precinct consisting of the regular
15
election precinct in the City of Vernon established for the
16
holding of state and county elections, as said regular election
precinct existed on the date of adoption of this resolution. That
17
18
the polling place for the respective precinct shall be the place
19
hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter named,
20
21
being competent and qualified electors and residents of said City
are hereby appointed precinct board members for their respective
22
voting precinct and they shall hold said election and make return
23
thereof in the manner provided by law.

SECTION 2: That the compensation of the persons
6 hereinabove named as precinct board members is hereby fixed at
7 the sum of Thirty-Five Dollars ($35.00) for each Inspector and
8 Thirty Dollars ($30.00) for each Judge and Clerk for said election.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
10 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
11 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
12 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of February, 1980.

4702 of the City of Vernon, A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCT
AND POLLING PLACE, APPOINTING PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS AND FIXING COM-
PENSATION, which was adopted by be Vernon City Council at its meeting
held February 19, 1980.
Will you please prepare four (4) sets of indexes of the
registered voters in the precinct, voting in the General Municipal
Election, March 10, 1980. The City of Vernon will be using paper
ballots, not punchcard system.
Will you please deliver these four (4) sets of indexes to:
Martin & Chapman Co. , 2131 Bixby Road, Lakewood, California 90712,
or same can be picked up by the City of Vernon.
