A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF OIL PROCESS
COMPANY FOR THE CLEANING OF STORAGE TANK FOR
DIESEL OIL IN ACCORDANCE WITH PURCHASING
DEPARTMENT QUOTATION NO. 1144 OF THE CITY OF
VERNON AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID
CONTRACT

7 WHEREAS, purchasingpepartment Quotation No. 1144 of the
8 City of Vernon for the cleaning of storage tank for diesel oil
9 was approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon and sealed
10 bids were opened on February 19, 1980; and
11 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Frank Murillo, the
12 Purchasing Agent, who has reported to the City Council under the
13 date of February 28, 1980, recommending that the contract for
14 the cleaning of storage tank for diesel oil be executed with
15 Oil Process Company on the basis of their bid in the sum of
16 Two Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Do11ars and No Cents ($2,550.00)
17 being the lowest responsible bid meeting the contract requirements
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
19 CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
21 hereby award Purchasing Department Quotation No. 1144, in
22 accordance with the recommendation of Frank Murillo, Purchasing
23 Agent, and hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute said contract
24 on behalf of the City.
SECTION 2: All other bids were rejected and the City
25
26 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
27 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
28 the receipt of an executed contract from Oil Process Company
1 accompanied by all required bonds and certificate~.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this Resolution thereupon and thereafter
4
the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of March, 1980.
