A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE CANVASS
OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
ON TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 1980, TO BE MADE BY THE
CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF VERNON

6 WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election will be
7 held and conducted in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles,
8 State of California, on Tuesday, April 8, 1980, as required by
9 law; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon desires
11 the canvass of said election to be made by the City Clerk of
12 said City;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ,BY THKCITY COUNCIL OF
14 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That pursuant to ~22932.5 of the Elections
16 Code of the State of California, the canvass of the regular
17 general municipal election to be held in the City of Vernon, Count
18 of Los Angeles, State of California, on Tuesday, April 8, 1980,
19 is hereby ordered to be made by the City Clerk of the City of
20 Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
22 shall, prior to the 15th day of April, 1980, complete the canvass
23 of said election and shall certify the results to this City Counci
24 on April 15, 1980.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
26 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
27 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
