RESOLUTION NO. 4714
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR 1974
STATE GRANT MONEYS FOR MAYWOOD CITY PARKS
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have
enacted the State Beach, Park, Recreational and Historical
Facilities Bond Act of 1974, which provides funds to the State
of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring lands
and for developing facilities for public outdoor rec~eation and
historical purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon has $10,000.00 funding with
no community project, and the City of Maywood has a recreation
project of rehabilitating Maywood City Parks which will benefit
the citizens of Vernon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained herein-
above are true and correct.
SECTION 2:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby approve the transferring of the City's 1974 Bond
moneY$ to the City of Maywood for the Maywood City Parks Project.
SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby recommend that the County Board of Supervisors approve
by re$olution or minute order the reallocation of $10,000.00 from
the City of Vernon to the City of Maywood for Maywood City Parks
~roject.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of March, 1980.
