A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF 9100 BARRELS
OF DIESEL FUEL NO. 4 (200 SSU) DESULFURIZED
DISTILLATE (-1/4% SULFUR) TO REPLENISH THE
TANK LOCATED AT THE VERNON DIESEL PLANT IN
ACCORDANCE WITH PURCHASING DEPARTMENT QUOtATION
NO. 1146 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND AUTHORIZING
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR
THE PURCHASE THEREOF

8 WHEREAS, there has beert presented to the City Council
9 of the City of Vernon Purchasing Department Quotation No. 1146
10 for the purchase of 9100 barrels of diesel fuel No. 4 (200 SSU)
11 desulfurized distillate (-1/4% sulfur) to replenish the tank
12 located at the Vernon Diesel Plant; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
14 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
15 to purchase the said 9100 barrels of diesel fuel No. 4 (200 SSU)
16 desulfurized distillate (-1/4% sulfur) to replenish the tank
17 located at the Vernon Diesel Plant and that sealed proposals or
18 bids be solicited in accordance with said Purchasing Department
19 Quotation No. 1146 of the City of Vernon.
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
21 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
23 approves Purchasing Department Quotation No. 1146.
24
SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
25 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the City
26 of Vernon a copy of said Purchasing Department Quotation No. 1146.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
28 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed pro-
ow

1 posals or~bids for the purchase of of 9100 barrels of diesel fuel
2 No. 4 (200 SSU) desulfurized distillate (-1/4% sulfur) to replenis
3 the tank located at the Vernon Diesel Plant, in accordance with
4 Purchasing Department Quotation No. 1146 and in accordance with
5 this Resolution.

SECTION 5: There being no newspaper of general circula~
7
tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
8

City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause the
9
same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the
10 City of Vernon, to wit: The Northwest corner of 38th Street and
11 Santa Fe Avenue, the Northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
12 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
13 City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
14 in said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
16 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
17 posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days before
18 the opening of the bids for the proposed Purchasing Department
~9 Quotation No. 1146. Said notice shall provide that sealed pro-
20
posals or bids will be received by the City of Vernon at the
21
office of the City Clerk of the. City of Vernon, at the City Hall,
22
4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California 90058, until the hour of
23
2:00 p.m. on April 1, 1980, and in accordance with Purchasing
24
Department Quotation No. 1146 approved by said City.
25
SECTION 7: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
26
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
27
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
