A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 436 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR FIRE STATION NO. 1 APPARATUS DOOR
SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 436
OF THE CITY OF VERNON

7 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon Contract No. 436 for Fire Station No.1
9 Apparatus Door System; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
11 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
12 that said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable State
13 law.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Contract No. 436 is hereby approved by the
17 City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
19 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
20 City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 436.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
22 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
23 proposals or bids for Fire?Statien~:~o~Cj::~-ApparatuS:-Door-Systemi
24 in accordance with Contract No. 436 and in accordance with this
25 Resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
27 tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
28 City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause

the same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the
2 City of Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and
3
Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
4
Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
5
City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue
6
in said City.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
8
hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days
9
10 before the opening of the bids for the proposed contract. Said
11
notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
12
received by the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk
of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon Cali-
13
14
fornia 90058, until the hour of 2:00 p.m., on the 6th day of
15
May, 1980, and in accordance with Contract No. 436 approved by
16
said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
18
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
19
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
