A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF ROSENS ELECTRICAL
EQUIPMENT CO. FOR THE DISPOSAL OF MATERIALS
FROM THE LIGHT AND POWER DEPARTMENT AS SURPLUS
PURSUANT TO SECTION 2.31 OF THE VERNON CITY
CODE IN ACCORDANCE WITH PURCHASING DEPARTMENT
QUOTATION NO. 1148 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND
APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF ANY DOCUMENT IN
RELATION THERETO

8 WHEREAS, Purchasing Department Quotation No. 1148 of
9 the City of Vernon for the disposal of materials from the Light
10 and Power Department as surplus pursuant to Section 2.31 of the
11 Vernon City Code was approved by the City Council of the City of
12 Vernon and sealed bids were opened on April 15, 1980; and
13 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Frank Murillo, the
14 Purchasing Agent, who has reported to the City Council under the
15 date of April 23, 1980, recommending that the bid of Rosens
16 Electrical Equipment Co. for the disposal of materials from the
17 Light and Power Department as surplus pursuant to Section 2.31
18 of the Vernon City Code be accepted on the basis of their bid
19 in the sum of Three Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Nine Dollars and
20 No Cents ($3,369.00) being the highest responsible bid meeting
21 the Quotation requirements.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
23 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
25 hereby award Purchasing Department Quotation No. 1148, in
26 accordance with the recommendations of Frank Murillo, the Purchas~
27 ing Agent, and hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute any documents
28 in relation thereto on behalf of the City.

SECTION 2: All other bids were rejected and the City
2 Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
3 any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
4 the receipt of full payment from Rosens Electrical Equipment Co.
5 in the sum of Three Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Nine Dollars and
6 No Cents ($3,369.00).

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
8 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
9 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
10 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 1980.
