A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FIVE (5)
POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES FROM MAURICE J.
SOPP

WHEREAS, the Finance Committee on April 7, 1980 auth.orize

the purchase of five (5) Police Department vehicles from Maurice J.
Sopp in accordance with the recommendation of Frank Murillo, the
7

Purchasing Agent; and
9
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
10
determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
11
that a Purchase Order be issued for the purchase of five (5)
12
Police Department vehicles from Maurice J. Sopp.
13
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
14
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained herein-
17
above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19
hereby approves the issuance of a Purchase Order in accordance
20
21
with the 'recommendation of Frank Murillo, the Purchasing Agent, for
the purchase of five (5) Police Department vehicles from Maurice J.
22
Sopp.
23
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
24
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 1980.
