A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING PURCHASING CONTRACT NO.
003 AND AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED
PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR SUPPLYING CITY HALL
JANITORIAL SERVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 003 OF THE CITY OF VERNON

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council

of the City of Vernon purchasing Contract No. 003, for janitorial
9
services for the City Halli and
10
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
11
12
determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
that said contract be awarded in accordance with applicable State
13
law.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
~aE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: PurChasing Contract No. 003 is hereby
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to file, in his office at the City Hall of the
City o~ Vernon, a copy o~ said Purchasing Contract.
SEC~ION 3: ~he City Clerk of the City of Ve.rnon is
hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed pro-
pos~ls or bids for providing City Hall Janitorial Service in
~ccord~nce with purchasing Contract No. 003, and in accordance
wtth this Resolution.
SEC'rION 4: ~here being no newspaper of general circula-
tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause it

1 to be posted, in three of the most public places in the City of
2 Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe
3 Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific
4 Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City
5 Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in
6 said City.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
8 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
9 posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days before
10 the opening of the bids for the proposed Purchasing Contract.
11 Said notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
12 received by the City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk of
13 the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, CA 90058,
14 until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 3rd day of June, 1980 in
15 accordance with Purchasing Contract No. 003 approved by the City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
17 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
18 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of May, 1980.
