RESOLUTION NO. 4738
A'RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF" VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF KOREAN MAINTENANCE
COMPANY OF LOS ANGELES FOR PROVIDING CI~Y HALL
JANITORIAL SERVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH PURCHASING
CONTRACT NO. 003 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND
APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID PURCHASING
CON~RACT
7 WHEREAS., Purchasing Contract No. 003 of the City of
8 Vernon was approved by the City Council of -t;he City of Vernon,
9 pursuant to Res,olution No. 4735, and sealed bids were opened on
10 June 3, 1980; and
11 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Frank Murillo,
12 Purchasing Agent, who has reported to the City Council on JUne 17
13 1980 recommending that the contract for providing City Hall
14 janitorial services be executed with Korean Maintenance Company
15 of Los Angeles on the basis of their bid in the sum of One
16 Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Dollars and No Cents ($1,880.00)
17 per month for a total of Twenty....i'wo Thousand Five liu;p.drecl Sixty
18 Dollars and No Cents ($22,560.00) per year for the cleaning of
19 the City Hall, Seventy-Two Cents ($0.72) per. square yard--:,f6r::
20 City Hall carpet shampooing service, and Twelve Dollars ($12.00)
21 per month for a total of One Hundred Forty-Four Dollars ($144..00,)
22' per year for the cleaning of the City Council Chambers, for a
23 total bid of Twenty-Two Thousand Seven Hundred Four Dollars and
24 NO Cents ($22,704.00) ,being the most'tesp6Irsi];;d:,e-~bid>,frottl?a::

26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
27 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City council of the City of Vernon does

hereby'award Purchasing Contract No. 003, in. accordance with the
recommendation of Frank Murillo, Purchasing Agent, to Korean
Maintenance Company of Los Angeles and hereby authorizes the
Mayor to execute said Contract on behalf of the city.
SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected. and the City.
Treasurer is hereby directed to return.to unsuccessful bidders
any cashier or certified.checks deposited withsai.4 b~d.s upon
the receipt of an executed Contract from Korean Maint.enance
Company of.' Los Angeles, accompanied by all required
certificates.
SECTION 3: TheCl ty Clerk of the City of Vernon.. shall
