WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles is the designated
Sol;i.d, Waste Management Agency ,for Los Angeles County andwasre-
sponsible fer preparing the approved Los AngeleS county~olid
Waste Management Plan which contains a litter:manageme~:t'-elernent.

NOW, TijEREFORE, BE IT RESOL~D BY THE CITY couNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS'FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
2 does her~by find and determine that the recitals contained herein
3 above are true and correct.
4 SECTION 2: That the City Council of the C~ty of Vernon
5 hereby grants the County of Los Angeles the authori tyt~ .recei.ve,
6 utiJ.ize and disburse entitlement monies as appropriated "by'the
7 State Solid Waste Management Board for the City of Vernon to
8 carry out a single, coordinated Countywide litter cleanup and
9 enforcement program for the three-ye~rperiod ending vuhe 30,
10 1983 for the welfare of the residents of the County of Los
U Angeles.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of. the City of Vernon shall
13 certify to the passage of this Resolution thereupon and thereafte
14 the same shall be in full force and effect.
15 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of September, 1980.
