RESOLUTION NO. 4772
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK ON IRVING STREET
STORM DRAIN, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.
437 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
6 WHEREAS, B-1 ENTERPRISE CORPORATION was awarded the
7 Contract for work on Irving Street Storm Drain pursuant to
8 Contract No. 437 of the City of Vernon; and
9 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Director of Community
10 Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon
11 that said work has been completed, under date of February 4,
12 1981, and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be
13 made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work on Irving Street Storm Drain
17 pursuant to Contract No. 437 is hereby approved by the City of
18 Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Seventy-
20 One Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Five Dollars and Sixty-One Cents
21 ($7l,345.6l). That there is now due to the Contractor a final

partial payment totaling Nine Thousand Six Hundred Forty Dollars
and Fifty Cents ($9,640.50), which should be paid at this time
,
and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total Contract amount
or the sum of Seven Thousand One Hundred Thirty-Four Dollars and
Fifty-Six Cents ($7,134.56) is payable thirty-five (35) days
after the adoption of this Resolution and the City Council of the
City of Vernon hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth

1 to B-1 ENTERPRISE CORPORATION and instructs the ei ty Clerk to
2 file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
4 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
5 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of February, 1981.
