RESOLUTION NO. 4775
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON AMENDING SCHEDULE V OF RESOLUTION
NO. 4748 PROVIDING FOR THE DUTIES AND SALARIES
OF OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY AND
FIXING THEIR COMPENSATION
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4748 was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Vernon on July 15, 1980; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4748 was previously amended
by Resolution No. 4767 adopted by the City Council of the City
11 of Vernon on January 6, 1981; and
12 WHEREAS, Schedule V of said Resolution No. 4748
13 provides for the position and salary scale of Personnel Secretary
14 and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon intends
16 to abolish the position and classification entitled "Pe~sonnel
17 Secretary" and to establish a new classification entitled
18 "Secretary to the City Administrator" and to establish a salary
19 scale for said classification in the City Administrator/City
20 Clerk Department as set forth herein.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
22 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the city Council of the City of Vernon
24 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained herein
25 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That effective March 2, 1981, Schedule V
of Resolution No. 4748 shall be amended by abolishing the title
"Personnel Secretary" and the salary provided for therein and

1 establishing the position of "Secretary to the City Administrator"
2 with the following salary and that in all other particulars
3 SChedule Vof Resolution No. 4748 shall remain in full force and
4 effect:

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
10 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution and

12 forCe and effect.
