RESOLUTION NO. 4785
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 441 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR SLURRY SEALING OF VARIOUS STREETS
IN TaE CITY OF VERNON, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 441 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
7 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon Contract No. 441 for slurry sealing of
9 various streets in the City of Vernon; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
11 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
12 Vernon that said contract be awarded in accordance with appli-
13 cable State law.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
15 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Contract No. 441 is hereby approved by
17 the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
19 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
20 City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 441
21
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
22 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
23 proposals or bids for slurry sealing of various streets in the
24 Ci ty of Vernon, in accordance with Contract No. 441 and ~ in
25 accordance with this Resolution.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or. to cause
1 the same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the
2 City of Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and
3 Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
4 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
5 City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
6 in said City.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of. the City of Vernon is
8 h€reby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
9 posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days
10 before th€ opening of th€ bids for the proposed contract. Said
11 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
12 received by th€ City of Vernon at the office of the City Clerk
13 of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
14 California 90058, until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 21st day
15 of April, 1981, and in accordance with Contract No. 441 approved
16 by said City.

SECTlON 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to th€ passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
