RESOLUTION NO. 4791
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF C.T. & F., INC.
FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT DOWNEY ROAD
AND LEONIS-DISTRICT BOULEVARD, DOWNEY ROAD
AND FRUITLAND AVENUE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 432 OF THE CITY OF VEm~ON AND
APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Contract No. 432 of the City of Vernon was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
Resolution No. 4777, and sealed bids were opened on April 7,
1981; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Arthur E. Nelson,
Director of Community Services, who has reported to the:City
Council under the date of April 7, 1981, recommending that the
contract for traffic signal installation at Downey Road and
Leonis-District Boulevard, Downey Road and Fruitland Avenue be
executed with C.T. & F., Inc. on the basis of its bid in the
sum of Thirty-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Three Dollars
and No Cents ($32,863.00), being the lowest responsible bid
mee~ing the contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award Contract No. 432, in accordance with the recornmenda
tion of Arthur E. Nelson, Director of Community Services and
authorizes the Mayor to execute said contract on behalf of the
City.
SECTION 2: ,All other bids are rej ected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders

any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
the receipt of an executed contract from C.T. & F., Inc.
accompanied by all required bonds and certificates.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of April, 1981.
