RESOLUTION NO. 4810
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPOINTING BRUCE V. MALKENHORST AS
CITY TREASURER
5 WHEREAS, Joseph A. Venezia resigned as City Treasurer
6 effective July 12, 1978; and
7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon appointe
8 Bruce V. Malkenhorst the Treasurer of the City of Vernon by a
9 minute order adopted on July 24, 1978, effective July 16, 1978;
10 and
11 WHEREAS, said Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst has exercised the
12 authority and performed the duties of Treasurer of the City of
13 Vernon sinc~ said appointment became effective on July 16, 1978;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to formali2e said
16 appointment by this Resolution and formally ratify its previous
17 appointment and all actions taken by Bruce V. Malkenhorst as
18 City Treasurer pursuant to said appointment.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CI'l'Y COUNCIL OF
20 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon
22 hereby appoints Bruce V. Malkenhorst to serve as the Treasurer
23 of the City of Vernon and hereby ratifies its former appointment
24 of Bruce V. Malkenhorst as Treasurer by minute order adopted on
25 July 24, 1978.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
27 hereby approves and ratifies all actions taken by Bruce V.
28 Malkenhorst as City Treasurer pursuant to his previous appointmen

as City Treasurer from July 16, 1978 through May 26, 1981.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of June, 1981.
