RESOLUTION NO. 4813
A RESOLUTION OF THE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON REAPPOINTING HILARIO GONZALES AS
LIBRARY TRUSTEE AND '., APPOINTING COUNCILMAN
WILLIAM JOSEPH DAVIS,TQFILL THE.UNEXPIRED
TERM OFKEITHK. KAESER AS A LIBRARY TRUSTEE
ON THE BOAROOF LIBRARY TRUSTEES
6 WHEREAS, Councilman Keith K. Kaeser has resigned his
7 councilmanic seat effective Apr1130, 1981iand
8 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
9 appointed W.illiam Joseph Davis to serve the unexpired portion
10 of Councilman Kaeser's councilmanic termi and
11 WHEREAS, Councilman Kaeser's resignation, in effect, is
12 also considered a resignation of his duties as a Library Trustee
13 on the Board of Liprary Trusteesi and
14 WHEREAS, pursuant to ~2735l of the Government Code and
15 Section 2.34 of the Vernon City Code, Trustees serving on the
16 Board of Library Trustees shall be appointed by the Mayor by and
17 with the consent Of the City Councili and
18 WHEREAS, Mayor Leonis C. Malburg and the City Council
19 of the City of vernon intend to reappoint Hilario Gonzales to
20 serve as a Trustee on said Board of Library Trustees and to
21 appoint Councilman William Joseph Davis to serve the unexpired
22 portion Of Councilman Kaeser's term as Trustee on the Board of
23 Library Trustees.
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
25 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
27 hereby finds and determines that the r,ecitals contained herein-
28 above are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That Leonis C. Malburg, Mayor of the City
2 of Verno~hereby reappoints Hilario Gonzales to serve as a
3 Trustee on the Board of Library Trustees and hereby appoints
4 Councilman William Joseph Davis to serve the unexpired portion
5 of Councilman Kaeser's term as Trustee on the Board of Library
6 Trustees.

SECTION 3: The City Council of th,e City of Vernon
8 hereby approves and consents to the reappointment of Hilario
9 Gonzales to serve as a Trustee on the Board of Library Trustees
10 and to the appointment of Councilman William Joseph Davis to
11 serve the unexpired portion of Councilman Kaeser's term as
12 Trustee on the Board of Library Trustees.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
14 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
15 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
