RESOLUTION NO. 4834
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK FOR INSTALLATION
OF INTERNALLY ILLUMINATED STREET NAME SIGNS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 439 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON

6 WHEREAS, C.T. & F. 'INC., was awarded the contract for
7 installation of internally illuminated street name signs pursuant
8 to Contract No. 439 of the City of Vernon; and
9 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Director of Community
10 Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon
11 that said work has been completed, under date of August 17, 1981,
12 and recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made to
13 the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work for installation of internally
17 illuminated street name signs, pursuant to Contract No. 439, is
18 hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Forty
20 Thousand Four Hundred Eighteen Dollars and Forty Cents (40,418.40 .
21 That there is now due to the Contractor a final partial payment
22 totaling Three'Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-Eight Dollars and Fifty
23 Cents ($3,658.50), which should be paid at this time and the
24 remaining ten percent (10%) of the total contract amount or the
25 sum of Four Thousand Forty-One Dollars and Eighty-Four Cents
26 ($4,041.84) is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption
27 of this Resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon
28 hereby directs payment of .said sums as set forth to C.T. & F. INC

1 and instructs the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion
2 with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
4 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
5 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. .
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 1981.
