RESOLUTION NO. 4849
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK FOR SLURRY
SEALING OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF
VERNON IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 441
OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, ROY ALLEN SLURRY SEAL, INC. , was awarded the
contract for slurry sealing of various streets in the City of
Vernon pursuant to Contract No. 441 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Director of Community
10 Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon
11 under date of October 15, 1981, that said work has been complete
12 and recommended that the work be accepted and payment be made
13 to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work for slurry sealing of various
17 streets in the City of Vernon, pursuant to Contract No. 441, is
18 hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Twenty-
20 Four Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-One Dollars and No Cents
21 ($24,431.00). That there is now due to the Contractor a final
22 partial payment totaling Twenty-One Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty
23 Seven Dollars and Ninety Cents ($21,987.90), which should be
24 paid at this time and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the
25 total contract amount or the sum of Two Thousand Four Hundred
26 Forty-Three Dollars and Ten Cents ($2,443.10) is payable thirty-
27 five (35) days after the adoption of this Resolution and the
28 City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of

said sums as set forth to Roy Allen Slurry Seal, Inc. and
instructs the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with
the County Recorder.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
