RESOLUTION NO. 4859
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON COM~ENDING ERNEST SI~ll~ONS FOR HIS
~ANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, ERNEST SIMMONS has been employed by the City of
Vernon since August 7, 1957; and
WHEREAS, said ERNEST SIMMONS will retire from the service
of the City of Vernon effective Jan~ary 31, 1982; and
WHEREAS, ERNEST SIMMONS has faithfully served as an
employee of the Department of Community Services of the City of
Vernon for approximately 24 1/2 years and is presently a~
Engineering Aide I in the Department of Community Services and
his loss will be deeply felt by the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
takes this opportunity to commend ERNEST SIMMONS for his many
years of devoted service to the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
wishes ERNEST SIMMONS continued success in whatever endeavors
he may undertake.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and present a
certified copy thereof to MR. ERNEST SIMMONS, and that there-
upon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of December, 1981.
