RESOLUTION NO. 4861
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK FOR TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT DOWNEY ROAD AND LEONIS-
DISTRICT BOULEVARD, DOWNEY ROAD AND FRUITLAND
AVENUE IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 432 OF
THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, C.T. & F., INC. was awarded the contract for
traffic signal installation at Downey Road and Leonis-District
Boulevard, Downey Road and Fruitland Avenue pursuant to Contract
No. 432 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Director of Community
Services, has :reported to the City Counc.il of the City of Vernon
under date of November 24,1981, that said work has been
completed and recommended that the work be accepted and payment
be made to the Contractor in accordance with the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the work for traffic signal instal-
lation at Downey Road and Leonis-District Boulevard, Downey
Road and Fruitland Avenue, pursuant to Contract No. 432, is
hereby approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Thirty-Two
Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Three Dollars and No Cents
($32,863.00). That there is now due to the Contractor a final
partial payment totaling Twenty-Nine Thousand Five Hundred
Seventy-Six Dollars and Seventy Cents ($29,576.70), which should
be paid at this time and the remaining ten percent (10%) of the
total contract amount or the sum of Three Thousand Two Hundred
Eighty-Six Dollars and Thirty Cents ($3,286.30) is payable
... "
1 thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this Resolution and
2 the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby directs payment of
3 said sums as set forth to C.T. & F., Inc. and instructs the City
4 Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
6 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
7 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
8 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of December, 1981.
