RESOLUTION NO. 4874
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 447 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES, POLICE
DEPARTMENT RADIO SYSTEM, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 447 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Vernon Contract No. 447 for equipment and
services, police department radio system; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
Vernon that said contract be awarded in accordance with
applicable State law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Contract No. 447 is hereby approved by the
16 City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
City of Vernon a copy of said Contract No. 447.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
proposals or bids for equipment and services, police department
radio system, in accordance with Contract No. 447 and in
accordance with this Resolution.
SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
City Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or to cause
the same to be posted, in three of the most public places in the
1 City of Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and
2 Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
3 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby o.f the
4 City Hall of the City of Vernon located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
5 ins'aid City.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
7 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
8 posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days
,
9 before the opening of the bids for the lproposed contract. Said
10 notice shall provide that sealed propos!als or bids will be
11 received by the City of Vernon at the dffice of the City Clerk
12 of the. City, at the City Hall, 4305 Sadta Fe Avenue, Vernon,
13 California 90058, until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 2nd day of
14 March, 1982, and in accordance with Contract No. 447 approved
15 by said city.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of February, 1982.
