RESOLUTION NO. 4887
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF GENERAL ELECTRIC
COMPANY FOR EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES, POLICE
DEPARTMENT RADIO SYSTEM, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 447 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AND
APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Contract No. 447 of the City ofVerncn was
approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon pursuant to
Resolution No. 4874, and sealed bids were opened on March 2,
1982iand
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Arthur E. Nelson,
Director of Community Services, who. has reported to the City
Council under the date of March 9, 1982, recommending that the
contract for equipment and services, police department radio
system be executed with General Electric Company on the basis
of its bid in the sum of Fifty-Eight Thousand One Hundred
Thirty-Five Dollars and No. Cents ($58,135.00), being the lowest
responsible bid meeting the contract requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award Contract No. 447, in accordance with the recommenda-
tion of Arthur E. Nelson, Director cf Community Services, and
authorizes the Maycr to execute said Contract on behalf of the
City.
SECTION 2: All other bids are rejected and the City
Treasurer is hereby directed to return to unsuccessful bidders
any cashier or certified checks deposited with said bids upon
1 the receipt of an executed contract from General Electric
2 Company acco~panied by all required bonds and certificates.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
4 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
5 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
6 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of March, 1922.
