RESOLUTION NO. 4888
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 448 AND
AUTHORIZING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR SOTO STREET AND SANTA FE AVENUE
IMPROVEMENT FOR PAVING PURPOSES, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 448 OF THE CITY OF VERNON
7 WHEREAS, there has been presented to. the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon Ccntract No. 448 for Soto Street and Santa
9 Fe Avenue improvement fcr paving purposes; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City cf Vernon has
11 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of
12 Vernon that said contract be awarded in accordance with
13 applicable State law.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
15 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Contract No. 448 is hereby approved by the
17 City Ccuncil of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
19 hereby directed to give notice, in writing, inviting sealed
20 prcposals or bids for Soto Street and Santa Fe Avenue improvement
21 for paving purposes, in accordance with Contract No. 448 and in
22 accordance with this Resolution.
23 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
24 hereby directed to file in his office at the City Hall of the
25 City of Vernon a copy of said Ccntract No.. 448.

SECTION 4: There being no newspaper of general circula-
27 tion printed, published or circulated in the City of Vernon, the
28 City Clerk is hereby directed to pcst said nctice, or to cause
1 the same to be posted, in three of the mcst public places in the
2 City of Vernon, to wit: the northwest corner of 38th Street and
3 Santa Fe Avenue, the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
4 Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the
5 City Hall of the City of Vernon located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue,
6 in said City.

SECTION 5: The City Clerk cf the City of Vernon is
8 hereby directed to post said notice forthwith and the first
9 posting of said notice shall not be less than ten (10) days
10 before the opening of the bids for the propcsed contract. Said
11 notice shall provide that sealed proposals or bids will be
12 received by the City of Verncn at the office of the City Clerk
13 of the City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
14 California 90058, until the hour 'of 2:00 p.m. on the 6th day of
15 April, 1982, and in accordance with Contract No. 448 approved by
16 said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Verncn shall
18 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
19 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
20 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of March, 1982.
