RESOLUTION NO. 4889
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE CITY CLERK'S APPOINTMENT
OF AN ABSENTEE VOTERS CANVASSING BOARD FOR THE
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION ,TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY,
APRIL 13, 1982
6 WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election will be
7 held and conducted in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles,
8 Califcrnia, on Tuesday, April 13, 1982, as required by law; and
9 WHEREAS, Section 22930.5 of the Elections Code cf the
10 State of California provides that the City Clerk may appoint a
11 Canvassing Board to count the votes cast by absentee vcters in
12 accordance with Section 1401 of the Elections Ccde cf the State
13 of California; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Ccuncil of the City cf Verncn desires
15 to waive the ccmpensaticn of any person named to serve on said
16 Canvassing Board.
17 NOvI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
18 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That pursuant to Section 22930.5 of the
20 Elections Code of the State of California the City Clerk has
21 appcinted an Absentee Voters Canvassing Board by posting
22 Notice of Appointment of Canvassing Board, said Notice is
23 attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by
24 reference as though fully set forth at length and said Absentee
25 Voters Canvassing Board is hereby approved.

SECTION 2: That the compensation of the persons
27 appointed to serve as members of the Absentee Voters Canvassing
28 Board is hereby waived.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk shall certify to the
2 passage cf this Resoluticn and thereupcn and thereafter the same
3 shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED cn this 23rd day of March, 1982.

(NOTICA DE NOMBRAMIENTO DE JUNTA DE INSPECTION)
I, Bruce V. Malkenhorst, City Clerk of the City of Vernon do
appcint the following named individuals to serve as a Canvassing Board
to canvass absentee ballots for the General Municipal Election of the
City of Vernon, to be held on April 13, 1982.
The canvassing will commence at 5:30
at the City Hall, City Clerk's Office, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,
California.

de Vernon, de este medio designo los siguientes nombradcs individuos
para servir de Junta de Inspeccion, para escrutar las balotas en
