RESOLUTION NO. 4893
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
3 OF VERNON APPROVING AND RATIFYING THE PURCHASE
OF FOUR (4) NEW POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES
4 FROM DOMENICH BASSO, INC.
5 WHEREAS, the Vernon Police Department has recommended
6 the purchase of four (4) new Police Department vehicles; and
7 WHEREAS, Frank Murillo, the Purchasing Agent, has
8 recommended that these vehicles be purchased from Domenich
9 Basso, Inc., a Chrysler-Plymouth dealer; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council on February 16, 1982,
11 authorized the Purchasing Agent to purchase four (4) new 1982
12 Plymouth Grand Fury automobiles for the Police Department from
13 Domenich Basso, Inc., for a total cost of Thirty-Two Thousand
14 Eight Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars and Sixty-Eight Cents
15 ($32,875.68), in accordance with the recommendation of Bruce V.
16 Malkenhorst, City Administrator/City Clerk dated February 11,
17 1982; and
18 WHEREAS, the 'City Council of the City of Vernon has
19 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
20 that a purchase order be issued for the purchase of the four (4)
21 new Police Department vehicles from Domenich Basso, Inc.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
23 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
25 does hereby find and determine that the recitals contained
26 hereinabove are true and correct.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
28 hereby approves and ratifies the issuance of a purchase order in
1 accordance with the recommendation of Frank Murillo, the
2 Purchasing Agent, for the purchase of four (4) new 1982 Plymouth
3 Grand Fury automobiles for the Police Department from Domenich
4 Basso, Inc. at a total cost of Thirty-Two Thousand Eight Hundred
5 Seventy-Five Dollars and Sixty-Eight Cents ($32,875.68).

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
7 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
8 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
9 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of April, 1982.
