RESOLUTION NO. 4895
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
3 OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE WORK OF TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INSTALLATION, SOTO STREET AND FRUITLAND
4 AVENUE, PACIFIC BOULEVARD AND FRUITLAND AVENUE,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 444 OF THE CITY
5 OF VERNON
6 WHEREAS, STEINY AND COMPANY, INC. was awarded the
7 Contract for traffic signal installation, So to Street and
8 Fruitland Avenue, Pacific Boulevard and Fruitland Avenue,
9 pursuant to Contract No. 444 of the City of Vernon; and
10 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Director of Community
11 Services, has reported to the City Council of the City of Vernon
12 under the date of April 1, 1982, that said work has been
13 completed and recommended that said work be accepted in
14 accordance with the Agreement.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
16 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the work for traffic signal
18 installation, Soto Street and Fruitland Avenue, Pacific Boulevard
19 and Fruitland Avenue, pursuant to Contract No. 444, is hereby
20 approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the total contract amount is Twenty-
22 Six Thousand One Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($26,100.00). That
23 there is now due to the Contractor a final partial payment
24 totaling Twenty-Three Thousand Four Hundred Ninety Dollars and
25 No Cents ($23,490.00), which should be paid at this time and
26 the remaining ten percent (10%) of the total contract amount or
27 the sum of Two Thousand Six Hundred Ten Dollars and No Cents
28 ($2,610.00) is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption

of this Resolution and the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby directs payment of said sums as set forth to STEINY AND
COMPANY, INC. and instructs the City Clerk to file a Notice of
Completion with the County Recorder.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
