A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL Of' THE CITY
OF VERNON COMMENDING AND HONORING THOMAS E.
JACKSON, THE PRESIDENT OF CALIFORNIA CONTRACT
CITIES ASSOCIATION, FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF
SERVICE AND SUPPORT TO SAID ASSOCIATION

WHEREAS, the Honorable Thomas E. Jackson has
as Councilman and Mayor of the City of Huntington
7 past fourteen (14 ) years ; and
8 WHEREAS, Councilman Jackson has served the
,Park favorably and with great dedication
of its residents; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Thomas E. Jackson has been an
12 active member of the Executive Board of the California Contract
Cities Association since 1978 and has served said Association
position of Secretary for the period of 1978-1979, Second
for the period 1979-1980, First Vice-President
the period 1980-1981 and President for the period 1981-1982;
and
18 WHEREAS, the Honorable Thomas E. Jackson has
19 said Association with dedication and distinction; and
20 WHEREAS, the Honorable Thomas E. Jackson
21 of California Contract Cities Association has consistently
22 supported the Association with great benefit to the member
23 cities of said Association.
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
25 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:
26 SECTION 1: That the City
27 does hereby honor and pay respect to President Thomas E.
for his many years of service to the California Contract
1 Association.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
3 certify to the passage of
4 copy thereof to THOMAS E. JACKSON, President of the
5 Contract Cities Association, and that thereupon and
6 the same shall be in full force and effect.
7 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day
