RESOLUTION NO. 4907
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TWO NEW
DUMP TRUCKS IN WHICH ONE WILL BE USED IN THE
COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND ONE WILL
BE USED IN THE WATER DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR SAID DUMP TRUCKS
7 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst, Director of Finance, by
8 letter dated April 26, 1982, recommended that the request of the
9 Community Services Department and Water Department to purchase
10 one new dump truck each be approved and that the Purchasing
11 Agent be authorized to advertise for bids for two new dump
12 trucks; and
13 WHEREAS, the Finance Committee on May 10, 1982, made
14 a recommendation to the City Council that the purchase of said
15 dump trucks be approved and authority be given to the Purchasing
16 Agent to advertise for bids respecting said dump trucks; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
18 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
19 that said dump trucks be purchased.
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
21 THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
23 hereby approves the purchase of two new dump trucks in which one
24 will be used in the Community Services Department and one will be
25 used in the Water Department.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
27 hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids
28 respecting said dump trucks.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of May, 1982.
