RESOLUTION NO. 4914
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR NEW
VEHICLES IN WHICH THREE WILL BE USED IN THE
FIRE DEPARTMENT AND ONE WILL BE USED IN THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING
AGENT TO PURCHASE SAID VEHICLES
7 WHEREAS, Bruce V. Ma1kenhorst, City AdministratorlCity
8 Clerk, by letter dated May 27, 1982, has recommended the purchase
9 of four new vehicles in which three will be used in the Fire
10 Department and one will be used in the Police Department and
11 that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to purchase said
12 vehicles; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
14 determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Vernon
15 that said vehicles be purchased.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
17 OF THE CITY OF VERNON AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 hereby approves the purchase of four new vehicles in which three
20 will be used in the Fire Department and one will be used in the
21 Police Department.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
23 hereby authorizes the Purchasing Agent to purchase said
24 vehicles.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and
3 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of June, 1982.
